A child has been taken to hospital by road after sustaining scalding burns in a household accident at Umina.

The Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter was tasked to assist NSW Ambulance and landed at Rogers Park in Woy Woy.

After assessment by the Toll Rescue Medical Team, the patient was road transported to hospital and the helicopter returned to base.

No further condition details have been released.
