Train services on the Central Coast and Newcastle line are resuming after repairs were completed following level crossing incidents at Woy Woy and Hamilton.
Passengers were warned that flow-on delays were still expected to continue throughout the morning peak.
Earlier advice said urgent level crossing repairs were being carried out at Hamilton and Woy Woy, with trains possibly delayed or stopped at platforms or between stations for longer than usual.
Passengers were advised to allow extra travel time and check transport apps, information screens and station announcements for the latest service updates.
